Story

A few family members and friends are going to cycle from the Irish Coast to the North Sea and back again. The route is to be finalised yet but it will be around 300 miles over 3 days. Some of the team are new cyclists and some cycling for a good few years but this will be a challenge for us all i'm sure!!

Updates

We made it!

3rd September 2016
What a weekend! 273 miles which felt like it was all up hill. 18000+ feet of climbing. freezing cold decents, cycling in the dark, punctures and detours made for a tiring three days. I think we all learnt how much punishment the body can take, including feeling the saddle afterwards. Thank you all so very much for the kind words and donations. We are all astounded by how generous everyone has been. This is the C2C2C team signing out. Thank you from Mark and Danielle.

Training update

2nd August 2016
We have all been out on our bikes covering different distances and gradients and for ED, different countries and borrowing bikes, to keep the training going. I think ED has the best scenery in Switzerland. A hilly ride is planned this weekend to prepare the legs for what is to come. Thanks for checking back and your valued donation. Mark

Training update.

5th July 2016
Three of the team took part in the Liverpool to Chester bike ride at the weekend. This is a 50 mile ride with some hills and great scenery. We all need to build up the mileage and our ability to tackle more challenging hills.

Route chosen

26th June 2016
We had three routes that looked practical over the weekend and the picture is the chosen one. It will be mainly on the road and will have some challenging climbs and thrilling descents. I am looking forward to this challenge with my closest family and friends.
